Experience the "Middle Ages"

Experience the historic festival and the events of the year 1631. Every year during the Whitsun holidays in May/June and the Imperial City Days on the first weekend of September, see the marching groups and many beautiful moments in the picturesque beautiful scenery of the city of Rothenburg. "The Master Draught" tells the story of Mayor Nusch who saved the city from bad fate during the Thirty Years War in 1631 by emptying a tankard holding more than three litres of wine in one swallow. During the weekend, more than one thousand citizens dress up in historic costumes, parade through the town and bring medieval times alive.
